CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Boy Scouts spend a lot of time outdoors, but they typically don't do it on the West Virginia State Capitol grounds.
About 2,000 Boy Scouts are participating in the Camporee event this weekend -- as they celebrate 100 years of the Buckskin Council.
"We had a great thunderstorm last night, high winds, a lot of fun. Everybody stayed pretty dry, but it's always exciting when you can camp out," Scout Master Frank Jorgensen said. "And that's part of scouting, it's rare that you have a camping trip without rain, that's what scouting is about."
Camporee wraps up Sunday.

I was in the scouts and one of the most memorable times there was when I got my Eagle Award. The scouts reinforce teamwork, values and morals and build a platform that will help them as they grow.
