UPDATE 5/20/10 @ 6:30 p.m.
VANCEBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Pillbillies on a rampage, that's what many pain pill addicts call themselves - Pillbillies, with a "P". Deputies in Lewis County, Kentucky say a trio of hard core addicts are now in jail after a burglary spree and a dangerous high speed chase. A rampage that included crushing stolen cars for scrap money to get high.

Lewis County Sheriff's deputies say Brandon Shane Fannin, a convicted felon just out of prison, is suspected in a month long burglary spree. He's accused of stealing tools and equipment from country homes and fire houses.

On Wednesday, a tip lead deputies to Fannin. Deputies say he was driving a stolen truck and that led to a 60 mile, three county dangerous high speed chase that ended in a road block and gunpoint capture.

Dwayne Stone with the Lewis County Sheriff's department says Fannin was swerving to miss people, sending cars off the road and creating a life threatening situation.

When asked if he did not care about endangering lives in a high speed chase, Brandon Fannin responded:

"I guess I'm a gangster like that."

Deputies say Fannin was not alone. They tell WSAZ.com that Nancy Wilson and April Lightner were in the truck with Fannin and that they helped drive the likely stolen car Fannin allegedly used in the burglaries to a scrap yard. Deputies say they had the car crushed and took the scrap money to buy and shoot up more pain pills.

When asked, Nancy Wilson told WSAZ.com: "yes, I did that. Got $256 and pills are only $30 a piece, that's 30, 60, 90. I went pop pop pop -- I shoot them up."

Deputies say they plan make 4 to 5 more arrests in the burglaries.

Nancy Wilson and April Lightner are charged with receiving stolen property. Brandon Fannin faces additional felony charges of fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment and multiple burglaries.

UPDATE 5/20/10 @ 8:30 a.m.
VANCEBURG, Ky (WSAZ) -- The Vanceburg man wanted in connection with a string of home and fire department burglaries has been captured.

The Lewis County Sheriff says that Brandon Fannin was arrested at gunpoint following a 60 mile police chase on Wednesday.

The chase took officers into Carter and Rowan Counties and ended on Kentucky 377 at a roadblock set up by deputies and state police.

The Sheriff says the truck that Fannin was driving had been stolen.

Two passengers in the truck were also arrested.

April Lightner, 22 of Vanceburg and Nancy Wilson, 22 of Ewing are charged with receiving stolen property.

The Sheriff say the two women were seen driving the car that Fannin used in the burglaries. That stolen car was later found scrapped at a junk yard in Morehead. That happened shortly before the police chase began.

VANCEBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) – Sheriff investigators need your help in locating a Vanceburg man they say is responsible for several residential, and five fire department burglaries.
