IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A woman who died tragically after she suffered burns all over her body was honored this Memorial Day Weekend.

Bikers hit the road in honor of Amy Wilcox. Wilcox's home in Lawrence County was set on fire last spring, and she was still inside.

Amy spent weeks in the hospital with severe burns to 90 percent of her body before she died.

The ride for Amy was to remember her life.

John Anson organized the ride, "she was a great person in general. She was a very charitable girl from what we understand and she was really well liked by the whole community, Anson said, "So we just want to try to keep her memory and spirit alive."

This is the second time a ride has been hosted in her honor.

Saturday they raised $800 dollars to go to Amy's two children. Amy passed away in June of 2009.

Her estranged husband is charged with her murder. Tom Wilcox was set to go on trial in a few weeks, but the case was pushed back because he fired his court appointed attorney.
