HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Troopers say they recovered $130,000 of marijuana inside a house on Norway Avenue in Huntington Tuesday night.
Troopers arrested Joseph,57, and Jeffrey Thacker,53, charging them with cultivation of marijuana.
Both men were arraigned in Cabell County Magistrate Court Thursday evening.
Troopers say they were attempting to execute an arrest warrant when they discovered several ingredients used in the process of an indoor grow operation and a "plethora" of marijuana plants.
The house was in the 11-hundred block of Norway Avenue.
Both men are in the Western Regional Jail

You missed my point, that was the observers fault that soldier died not weed. Weed didnt kill that guy another persons mistake did. Pills kill you, meth and coke kill you, alcohol kills you and people can kill you but weed does not. That guy could have been on anything but the fact remains NO ONE DIED because of weed they die because of people's stupid mistakes or what ever other reason. If someone is high or drunk at work fire them because someone could get hurt or worse. But what someone does in their own time that doesn't hurt anyone else is their own business and their right (don't think for a second meth and heroin are included there, they kill people and hurt others).
REALLY! Well tell that to the family of a dead soldier who in 1968 was killed due to a foward observer high on pot who called in an artillery strike on his own people.. Course, I the ones that want to drive, operate machinery, etc while high won't ever admit that they can get messed up enough..
all you people that think pot is so bad had better wake up. Pills are the worst problem right now and meth and coke aren't far behind. Police are too scared of getting hurt or shot by going after the real problems, even though they took an oath to protect us, HPD is not. How many people have to die for you thick headed idiots to figure this out. I have lost many friends because of overdoses from pills and nothing was ever done about it. The only harm I have ever heard coming from pot are non violent people put in jail with murderers and rapists because they were arrested for pot. For someone who does something that could never kill anyone, you have to be one heck of a close minded, evil bigot to condemn someone to death in prison for that reason. (by the way "anonymous" I know them too and one of them is a deadbeat but the other is a loving father and son and you don't know what your talking about.)
