UPDATE 6/10/10 @ 11 p.m.
CATLETTSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) -- People in Boyd County are breathing sighs of relief now that four alleged burglars are behind bars.
Ferguson Plumbing in Ashland had been a victim of theft for months.
“They were cutting holes through the building, then climbing in and putting the copper outside,” manager Jeff Hall said. “Whatever they could carry, they were taking.”
SUSPECTS
Hall says the cost of damage the thieves caused breaking in was nearly as high as the property stolen.
“The damage that they do, each time you have a place repaired, that’s generally a five hundred dollar repair, each hole, so you’re out that much money even if they don’t take a thing.”
A spree of burglaries on about six repeated targets since March had Boyd County Sheriff’s Deputies frustrated.
“Some of these gas stations, they were in and out in 45 seconds,” Sheriff Terry Keelin said.
The burglars would break into gas stations and steal thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes.
“When you’ve got this many calls involving what you suspect are the same people and you’re not catching them, it’s very frustrating because you want to put a stop to what they’re doing,” Keelin said.
The sheriff says they found out the thieves were selling the stolen cigarettes on the street.
They arrested Donald Mullins, Kendra Taylor, and Christina Perkins Wednesday night at a house on Donna Court in Ashland. The sheriff says they admitted to the break-ins.
The sheriff says Daniel Baldridge took off running when deputies attempted to apprehend him, but he was later caught and arrested around 1 a.m. Thursday.
“They’re not gonna be stealing any for a while,” Keelin said.
“It’s definitely a big relief,” Hall said. “You sit and think no one’s doing anything about it. Then when something good does happen, it is a big relief. It should be to everyone in the community.”
Sheriff Keelin says that although the four people arrested are facing 12 charges of burglary since March, he says they're going to be further investigating their possible connection with numerous other past crimes.

These people have stolen and ripped off people for years, not just the last couple months. I am one of their victoms. They need to pay for what they've done. If they get off easy, they're just going to go back to ripping people off. These people don't want to work and make an honest living. If they worked as hard on getting a job as they did stealing stuff, they would have their own bussiness.
they are still good people, just making poor choices. don't hate the players, hate the game.no pun intended.
I can't believe this is going on with kendra...i know the whole family well...spent many nights with them growing up...her dad an sister have been in touble alot...kendra should of learned from them to stay OUT of trouble!
