Putnam Man Charged with Sexually Abusing a Young Relative

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Putnam County man was arrested and jailed Wednesday after he allegedly abused a female relative sexually for years.

Police say a young girl told them that Robert Kidd engaged in sexual contact with her.

The abuse reportedly started when the girl was just 10 years old, reportedly lasting for six years.

Kidd was in the Western Regional Jail on Wednesday night on a $125,000 bond.
