HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two teens were arrested Friday in connection with attempting to sell prescription pills -- something detectives say both teens had been doing for a while.

Kara Smith, 18, and Bryan Adams, 19, were arrested Friday afternoon at the Walmart along U.S. 60 in Huntington.

Huntington Police Detective Darrell Booth tells WSAZ.com the two had 10 80 milligram OxyContin pills, which they reportedly planned to sell.

Booth said he has reasons to believe the two had been selling drugs long before Friday's arrest. He says detectives believe they were selling drugs while they were still students in high school.

Smith and Adams were charged with possession with intent to deliver of a controlled substance, which Booth says is a felony charge.

They're being held at the Western Regional Jail.

GUILTY in their teens, GUILTY in their first year as an adult...I see lack of supervision and education in there youth that has carried over into adulthood. Give them Maximum sentences, They will not change when the get out - odds are against them. Increase random shake downs of all high schools, middle schools and strip search the students with the proper legal personnel present. After that, search the grounds and all vehicles on the premises. Take the canine unit through first period classerooms and after lunch do the same walkthrough with canines, amazing what you might or might not find. On a final note quit making excuses-good kids, single parents, didn't have a childhood- they have had every opportunity to better themselves and didn't. And by the way Bryan Adams song is a love song not a song about thieves and small time drug dealers - read the lyrics!

Yes, I do believe in second chances. These two will get theirs after they serve their sentence. As to my impersonator.... Insults are all you have? It shows either a lack of intelligence or perhaps education. Perhaps both.
