PIKEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Hundreds of people showed up at a free
clinic in eastern Kentucky to receive medical, dental and vision
care.
Alison Sizemore of Hazard camped in a tent with her 3-year-old
son, while her husband slept in the truck, so they could be ready
for dental checkups early Saturday at the clinic at a high school
gym in Pikeville.
Sizemore tells the Lexington Herald-Leader that her husband was
laid off from his job at Wal-Mart in January, so they lost his
health care coverage. She lost her job when a sandwich shop closed.
The clinic is offered by the Remote Area Medical Volunteer
Corps, a nonprofit group based in Knoxville, Tenn. Pikeville
dentist Bill Collins says the patients rely on the clinic or they
go without health care.

it must be nice because here in west virngina only thing they think about is how they are going to steal more money off the poor people electon is near boys and girls and we know who you are be gone
It's good to know that there are health care professionals who do this kind of good deed. However, it is shameful that Americans wimped out and did not demand health care for all citizens of our country. People should not be forced to show up in masses at a free clinic because they can't afford health care.
How sad is that? Walmart laying people off at one store and planning to build another one. Pathetic. Walmart is ruining this country.
