UPDATE 8/3/10 @ 9:15 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- While it has been talked about for years, a new Wal-Mart store in Quincy may be a reality sooner than later.
Construction on the new Wal-Mart could start earlier than expected. The architectural firm working on the project told the Kanawha County Planning Commission on Tuesday that bids on the project could go out next month.
That means construction at the site could start in December and be completed by September 2011.
The new store will be located beside Riverside High School. It is expected to cost nearly $7 million to build.
