ASHLAND, Ky (WSAZ) -- A woman from Ashland was arrested for lying to police after she claimed she was tied up, stabbed and left in a bathroom overnight.

Sgt. Williamson with the Boyd County Sheriff's Department tells WSAZ.com, Lisa Lara, an employee at a dentist office in Ashland, called 911 early Saturday morning. Lara claimed while working late Friday night, two males came in and attacked her. She claimed they tied her up, stabbed her, and left her in the bathroom.

Sheriff's Deputies responded Saturday morning. Sgt. Williamson said Lara had small cuts on her hands, arms, neck, and back. Williamson said there were no ligature marks on Lara, indicating she had not been tied up, like she claimed.

After running Lara's record, deputies discovered she had been charged with giving false reports to officers before.

Deputies found a loaded gun in the dentist office, as well.

Lara was charged with making false reports to a police officer. She has been released from jail.

Wow! My guess is its 1 of 2 things: She was either messed up and thought it was a good idea at the time. Or she just isn't very smart. Interesting for the readers though....lol!
