State Surplus Property Auction Offers Good Deals
Cars, motorcycles, furniture, kitchen appliances and various other things were on sale in Dunbar Saturday. It was all part of West Virginia's Surplus Property Auction.

DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- What's better than getting a good deal, and getting it at the state's expense?
Cars, motorcycles, furniture, kitchen appliances and various other things were on sale in Dunbar Saturday. It was all part of West Virginia's Surplus Property Auction.
The event offers piles of stuff the state calls trash, but a lot of buyers call treasure.
Money raised from the sale will go back into the state's general revenue fund.

Anita. The reason is that you have to know someone that works for the state to know when these are happening. Its the way they have it set up. Its Who you know. Same with getting a job with the state in Kanawha County...you better know someone.

I have heard you can go down there anytime during the week and buy stuff.....anyone know if this is true?

since it was postded at 705pm on the 26th I guess it happened a few hours earlier. This has happened before.
