It may look like just a construction site now, but it will soon be the sight of a brand-new EMS building.

MILTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- When you build a new building, there are a couple things you can't forget: like a roof, and walls and cornerstones.

The first steps have already been completed in the building of a new EMS Station in Milton.

Saturday, masons laid the ceremonial cornerstone for the new station. It will be built next to the old City Hall Radio Station on Route 60.

Well I see now why you continue to be so ignorant. You want US to answer your questions for you. How about you do your own homework, IF you're that interested. Truth be told I think you don't know and don't care and just want to argue with someone. Sad,if you weren't so stupid it would be funny. Mason's laid the corner stone for the Elks too! It's a tradition, can you not read anything besides what you write? Yes being in the military is an honorable profession. And I thank him for his service. But the military isn't who sits corner stones. Mason's do that, either literally or figuratively! A MASON IS A CARPENTER a Brick layer, being a member of the Masonic Lodge holds traditions -- forget it, I could type for days and you still wouldn't get it. If you're that interested LOOK IT UP! You don't see any justification for it, because you don't want to see or understand anything period. If you did, you'd be telling us the answers!

Again, I see no justification for it. It may be an honor to some, but not others. Shall we put a stone up for the Elks as well? Rant about history all you want, but it has no meaning to most of us. And, why is it an honor to be a Mason? My father was in the military....that's an honor as well.

It's what's inside the corner stone that is important. The laying of the stone is merely a symbolic gesture. Master Mason's (mason's as in brick layers, carpenters, etc) lay the stone symbolizing that the building itself will stand the test of time. That's about as simple as I can explain it-- look it up, actually it's quite interesting reading. Who woulda thunk it? You can surf the web AND actually MAYBE learn something you didn't know before-- God Forbid!~but i bet now you will notice just how many corner stones are on ALL buildings! See ya learned something and you didn't mean to-- today wasn't a total loss! lol== aaron my father was a 32* Master Mason, and truer words were never spoken. To be a daughter of a Mason is in itself an honor.
