HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- You might not think that fighting AIDS requires some muscle, but there are a handful of women who beg to disagree.
The West Virginia Bruisers and the Steel City Renegades are part of the women's football league.
They faced off Saturday afternoon at the AD Lewis Football Field in Huntington to raise money to help those with HIV and AIDS.
"Right now, currently, with all the federal cutbacks, it is important for us to do every possible fundraiser so we have money to help people when they come to us and we don't have to turn anyone away," Executive Director of the Tri-State AIDS Task Force Lisa Cremeans said.
Tickets for the game were $6, and that money will go to the Tri-State AIDS Task Force.
