Sogefi Opens Filter Systems Plant in Wayne County
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday at the new facility in Prichard.

PRICHARD, W.Va. (AP) - Allevard-Sogefi USA Inc. has opened a vehicle filter systems plant in Wayne County.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday at the new facility in Prichard.
Sogefi originally had planned to produce filter systems in conjunction with an existing operation that produced stabilizing bars used in vehicle suspension systems.
Sogefi has since shut down the stabilizing bar operation and reduced the work force from about 85 workers to about 44.
The Prichard plant's manager, Troy Thomas, says he hopes to add workers near the end of the year.
