Police Report: Fort Gay Man Shot at Huntington Convenience Store
The shooting happened at a convenience store on the corner of Hall Green Boulevard and Charleston Avenue about 2 a.m.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man says he was shot in the parking lot of a convenience store in Huntington early Tuesday morning.
According to the Huntington Police incident report, Tony Hartshorn, 35, of Fort Gay says he had just finished putting air in his tires when he was shot once in the back.
Hartshorn told police, the shooting happened at a convenience store on the corner of Hal Greer Boulevard and Charleston Avenue around 2 a.m.
He also told police two shots were fired, the other hit his van. He gave police a very vague description of the alleged shooter.
Following the shooting, Hartshorn took himself to the emergency room.
He is listed in good condition at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Huntington has gotten worse and worse over the years. I remember when I was a kid , my grandpa would take me to the YMCA and everyone was friendly nice and there was no trouble. Now you go anywhere people are rude. Aggressive and that area now over by it has gotten awful, i feel like i need a bath just driving through it. I feel for some of the innocent residents out there. Huntington is the next Charleston.Both have some nice places to visit. But I wouldn't want to live there. Sad getting some air gets ya shot. And maybe the man went to the strip club or a bar cause fort gay has nothing? 2 am on his way home. Not everyone is into drugs now a days. Some of us still enjoy drinking. Its expensive to have a "habit" .

2 in the morning a guy from the country at the mart in this neighborhood getting air gets shot and his van gets gets shot too for no reason?cmon get real. Maybe he really was just getting air though who knows.

TO D.B. - Oh sure I was there for a drug deal, I work at a Law Firm, have a child, and definately have my life where it needs to be. I hate when people assume and think they know everything. No one knows his reasoning for being where he was at that time. And YES i read the headline, it doesn't say "Ft. Gay Man Shot @ Convience Store While Exchanging for a Drug Deal" does it? Didn't think so. So why dont you think about that Mr. Know IT ALL! Like YOU said YOU CAN'T DRIVE ON A FlAT so what else was he supposed to do? Get a life and have a nice day.
