Numerous Wrecks Reported in Kanawha County
Wet conditions may be playing a role in numerous crashes in Kanawha County Friday evening.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Wet conditions may be playing a role in numerous crashes around Kanawha County Friday evening.
Metro 911 Dispatchers say wrecks have been reported all over the county.
As of 6:15 p.m., dispatchers there were three wrecks on Interstate 79 in the Elkview area.
The southbound lanes of the interstate were shut down while emergency crews dealt with two of those accidents.
Dispatchers say two pickup trucks hit head on near the 9-mile marker. Then, another car crashed into the embankment in the same area.
Then, in the northbound lanes, one car rolled over several times near the 5-mile marker.
In St. Albans, dispatchers say a car hit a truck hauling stone in the 1600 block of Strawberry Road.
On the West Side of St. Albans, a motorcycle collided with a car in the 200 block of Fairview Drive.
Several people have been taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

wow this is major news, when it rains kanawha co folks dont know how to drive!!! they think if you speed up then your vehicle is safer on wet roads and thats when them idiots wreck, nothing but genius on this one
Robby that exactly what i w as going to say, have of these wrecks that occur when it rain in do to the fact some of these drivers either dont pay attention to what they are doing or drive like its a sunny day out side. so dont blaim it on the rain
