Dreams Come True for Brides and Cancer Patients
At the "Brides Against Breast Cancer" nationwide tour of gowns, every purchase makes a huge difference.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Browsing through hundreds of designer wedding gowns, it's a brides dream. At the "Brides Against Breast Cancer" nationwide tour of gowns, every purchase makes a huge difference.
The tour is put on by the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. The non-profit organization helps grants wishes of men and women battling stage four breast cancer.
Those wishes range from providing video cameras to capture family memories to trips to Disney World.
Sunday, the gowns went on sale at the Marriott Charleston Town Center.
Kim Alford is thinking ahead for her wedding in June. She spent the afternoon slipping into dresses. The purpose behind the event hits home because her aunt had breast cancer.
Alford says, "If it runs in the family, what if I end up with it? I'd want somebody to help me."
The gown sale continues Monday, July 12. The dresses will be on sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
