MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - A new car-sharing program is heading to the West Virginia University campus at Morgantown this fall.

Zipcar will offer five vehicles at various locations around campus for use by the hour or longer. The international car-sharing program is replacing the WeCar program launched last fall. Existing users can make the switch without charge. New users pay a yearly $35 fee.

The vehicles can be rented by the hour or on daily or weekend rates.

While students are advised not to bring cars on campus because of parking and traffic concerns, the rentals are intended to provide another option for students who need a car, to shop, for instance.

Zipcar is being offered at more than 100 universities in North America.

I love it, Delbert. They are liable to sit on the couch and burn the car in some areas of celebrations. They are something up there. Judge Mathais couldn't believe people sit on couches on the porch- he hasn't seen everything.

I wonder if the WVU students can haul a couch in one of these cars?
