UPDATE: Woman Killed in I-64 Crash in Carter County; Name Released
A mother was killed, and her two young children were hurt in a single vehicle crash on I-64 in Carter County on Sunday.

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A mother was killed, and her two young children were hurt in a single vehicle crash on I-64 in Carter County on Sunday.
Kentucky State Police say Angela Acosta, 31, of Fayette County, Ky. died in the accident.
Troopers say Acosta was driving eastbound when she lost control. Her car rolled several times across the median, coming to a stop in the westbound lanes.
Acosta's, 5 and 10 year old sons were airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital with multiple injuries. No word on their conditions.
Acosta was wearing a seat belt. Her children were also restrained.
The accident happened at the 170 mile marker around 5:45 p.m.

CARTER COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police say all lanes of I-64 in Carter County have been re-opened after an accident Sunday evening.

CARTER COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Interstate 64 is shut down in Carter County, near exit 172.
Kentucky State Police say both lanes have been closed after an accident; the west bound lane because of the wreck, the east bound lane to make room for a helicopter to land.
Traffic is backed up, and KSP asks that drivers avoid the area.
Names and conditions have not been released.

to all the rude and mean ppl out there it was a accident and it was not due to speed she was in a top heavy car and it flipped there is no reason to talk like that i knew angie she was a great person and accepted ppl for who they were she is missed very much
My heart goes out to her two kids, husband, and all her family and friends. My Husband and I were the first on the scene. He was the one who helped get the boys out of the vehicle. It was very scary becasue we thought the car was on fire. He quickly realized he could not help Angela and the only thing was to try and get the boys out safely and calm them down. My prayers are with her family and friends as the suffer her loss.
