NEW INFO: Local Murder Suspect Captured In Columbus

ATHENS, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The suspect wanted for murder was arrested Monday in Columbus.
Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly tell WSAZ.com that Matthew Wolfe was taken into custody. WOUB TV reported that Wolfe will be brought back to Athens County by the end of Monday.
He was captured at a Columbus residence.
Wolfe is accused in the shooting death of Craig Oxley of Athens.
The shooting happened last week in Chauncey.

ATHENS, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Athens County authorities have identified the suspect in the murder of a Athens man on Wednesday.
The Athens County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 45-year-old Matthew Wolfe of Athens, Ohio. They say Wolfe should be considered armed and dangerous.
The Sheriff's Office says Wolfe may be driving a 2000 model Pontiac Grand AM that is copper in color. The car has Ohio plates ELZ3575.
They say Craig Oxley, 41, was shot leaving in his vehicle from a house at 22 Main Street in Chauncey. Seconds later he crashed into a telephone pole.
Following the shooting, witnesses say they saw a person flee the
passenger side of the vehicle.
Detectives believe Oxley and another person went to the house at 22 Main Street to buy drugs. They say a fight ensued and Wolfe shot Oxley.
Authorities plan to charge Wolfe with first degree murder.

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- An Athens man died after a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Chauncey, according to a news release from the Athens County Sheriff's Department.
He is identified as 41-year-old Craig Oxley. Sheriff Patrick Kelly said witnesses heard gunshots around 22 Main St. in Chauncey at about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday. Oxley was driving at the time and veered off the right side of the roadway and hit a telephone pole.
Oxley was taken to O'Bleness Hospital then transferred to a Columbus hospital. He died later Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses told deputies that a person fled the vehicle Oxley was driving after it struck the telephone pole. Sheriff's investigators have a person of interest and are looking for that person.
