Six Construction Firms Being Considered to Finish Route 35 Project
Six construction firms are in the running to be the company that builds the last 14-mile stretch of the new Route 35.

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Six construction firms are in the running to be the company who builds the last 14-mile stretch of the new Route 35.
By the middle of next month, the six firms will have to submit their proposals to see who's got the best plan.
The State Transportation Secretary says the new four-lane road in Putnam and Mason counties should be completed by the end of 2013. Construction should start early next year.
Also - the State Parkways Authority has put the process of making Route 35 a toll road into motion.
Plans are to toll a 33-mile section of the highway, but that won't happen until after studies are completed and public forums are held.

I really don't see how they can efficiently handle tolls on a road that has so many points of ingress and egress. As I remember putnam county had even rezoned a section for commercial use. Will they install toll boths at every exit or just put up a booth on the new section? Just wondering.

Dear skuz you probably dont mind them because you dont drive it everyday. I'd rather see it not finished than it to go toll. It's not patroled enough is whats wrong cops dont like to pull anybody over
