CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Massey Energy Chief Executive Don Blankenship and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are among those contributing funds to West Virginia's congressional candidates.

Blankenship gave to the Republican challengers in the 1st and 3rd U.S. House Districts during the latest reporting period. So did Palin's political action committee.

Their support did not help the GOP nominees keep pace with their Democratic opponents.

In the 1st District, Republican Dave McKinley loaned his campaign $320,000 to match Democrat Mike Oliverio's fundraising.

The 3rd District's Democratic incumbent, Rep. Nick Rahall, has nearly 14 times the funds of GOP challenger Spike Maynard.

But Republican Rep. Shelley Moore Capito has an even more massive edge over her Democratic foe.

I for one can not wait until Sarah's 15 minutes of fame are up. Never have I seen a political personality with less substance. She may be even dumber than our previous president. She has so little knowledge of.... well, anything, yet people seem to love her. I fear for America's future under an idiocracy.

What's wrong with Don and Sarah spending some money in WV trying to help us get rid of Obama's puppets? Keep it coming. Maybe we can get some real representation in Washington.

Both of them are worthless.
