It is alarming that Dom Calhoun was just arrested not even 2 mos ago for going on someone's porch harrassed the occupant and their company and made their companion take off his shoes and took their cell phone and walked away ... What happen to that case? If he was already incarcerated for the previous infraction then the incident on Wertz wouldn't had occurred. & I want you to really look at the crime on the Westside and those accused of the crimes ... Heck, a majority of them don't even have a residency there. So don't blame those who actually pay property taxes on the West, who wake up & work on the daily on the West sypathize because it could be your neighborhood tommorrow. If it isn't already occurring as we speak. Crack kills yes it does but so does Cocaine that you South Hills and so does Meth thank you Nitro and St. Albans & thank you everywhere for the Weed ....
I was born and raised on the westside. Yes over the decades the crime rate has increased to our disliking. I'm a proud African American woman and this issue has nothing to do with the race card. I watch my friends with degrees and masters who can't get ahead in WV due to the lack of opportunities. Don't misinterpret what I am saying, I'm not saying go out and sell drugs ... I just understand the economic hardships. Let's get a few things straight though on this forum. The Kickback has addressed alot of the concerns that their neighbors has addressed. They limited their hours of operations, they've done everything but impliment a metal detectors. & When the incident occurred the club had already been closed for almost an hour. How is it their fault? & Lucky Lafferty's ... I enjoyed their setting however, I went to a memorial service for DJ he left that club intoxicated and wrecked, that and other issues is why they were closed. Now, to the actual topic at hand, the shooting on Wertz ...
Why don't the owners of these so called bars (hole in the wall), change the whole vibe of their club by changing the dress code. Go from white tees to button downs and from size 48 jeans to khakis! This would eliminate alot of the drama. If the dress code changes, so does the type of people who can enter the club. That would put them out of their comfort zone and drive them away!!! Abide by the rules or go somewhere else to KICKBACK!!! Anyone agree?
