UPDATE 7/30/10 @ 10 a.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is jail after police say he opened fire on a parking lot in downtown Huntington.
Huntington Police arrested 32-year-old Richard Lusher. Lusher is charged with wanton endangerment and several other charges.
The incident happened in the 500 block of 4th Avenue around 8:30 Thursday night.
According to the criminal complaint, Lusher pulled a handgun from his waist and fired several shots after getting into an argument with several people.
After firing the gun, the complaint says Lusher threw the gun into passenger seat of his car. Officers say the gun landed on the seat in the clear reach of his two-year old son who was in the car.
Police say in the shooting, one bullet struck the ground and then ricocheted, grazing the forearm of woman bystander.
The criminal compliant also indicates that Lusher has a felony conviction for shoplifting which prohibits him from possessing a firearm.
Officers also arrested another person at the scene on drug charges.

Latest Comments
Set aside emotional arguments. Look at the facts: Richard Lusher is a FELON. FELONS cannot own guns. He, once again, broke the law by possessing a gun (that alone is enough for a conviction even if he was found not guilty of the additional crimes for which he is charged) . He is a sentient being who makes autonomous decisions. Blaming other people is unfair. He must take responsibility for his actions. At the end of the day, one can only blame one's self for our place in life.
i know this man an he is not the same anymore so if u dnt know him stay off him ok
Seems like criminals and scumbags taking up for other criminals and scumbags, if you take up for people like this you are don't even realize you are part of the problem! PERIOD. If you do shady things, that means things that are illegal, you are part of the problem. Oh yea and hstc who is just a moron.
