CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- The West Virginia Public Service Commission's Consumer Advocate Division wants the agency to take another look at Frontier Communication Corp.'s acquisition of Verizon's landline network in the state.

The PSC approved the deal in May. It involves more than 626,000 landlines.

The Consumer Advocate Division asked the PSC to reopen its decision in a filing Thursday. The division said it agreed with FiberNet that Frontier's operating system should be investigated.

FibertNet made a similar request last week. The company uses Frontier's landline network and claims Frontier's operating system was causing numerous problems for customers.

Frontier has not yet responded to the filings.

The PSC will not do anything. They don't care about the people in WV if they did they would not continue to allow companies to raise prices on individuals that cannot afford it. I have had problems with my DSL ever since Frontier took over. I even called them about my bill and they charged me for the call.
