Arrest Made Following Shooting in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) – One man is in the hospital, another in jail following an early morning shooting in Ashland.

Ashland Police says it happened in the 1200 block of 29th Street just after 1:30 a.m..

Officers say Brice Clarke, 23, of Ashland, was shot in the arm and back.

Clarke was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he is in stable condition.

Police arrested William Steen, 27, of Ashland and charged him with 1st Degree Assault.

Steen is being held in the Boyd County Detention Center.

A motive for the shooting hasn't been released.

The case remains under investigation.
