ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A driver who followed an armed robbery getaway car says he was shot at by a passenger in the car.

The Athens County, Ohio, Sheriff says the robbery happened at the Little General Store in Albany just after 10:30 Monday night.

Sheriff Pat Kelly says the suspect entered the store wearing a bandanna over his face and armed with a hand gun. The man then ordered the clerk to put money from the register into a bag he threw on the counter.

Kelly says when the suspect left the store, he was picked up by a person waiting in a yellow Chevy Cavalier with no license plates.

The Sheriff says a person who witnessed the robbery then followed the vehicle onto St. Rt. 681 South. While following the vehicle, the driver told deputies the passenger in the getaway car fired shots at him, so he stopped following the vehicle.

No one was injured.

No arrests have been made.
