UPDATE: Ohio 73 Reopen After Crash in West Portsmouth Area

WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Ohio 73 has reopened Monday evening at the scene of a five-vehicle crash, authorities at the scene say.

The accident happened just after 5:30 p.m. Monday near Cole's Park.

One of the vehicles involved was a tractor-trailer.

At least two people were hurt, but there is no word on their conditions.

WEST PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A five-vehicle crash has shut down State Route 73 in West Portsmouth, Ohio.

State Highway Patrol dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the accident happened about 5:36 p.m. Monday near Cole's Park.

At least five vehicles are involved, including a semi-truck.

Dispatchers say at least two people are hurt. No word on their conditions.

Route 73 will be closed in both directions for an undetermined amount of time.

Crews are working to set up a detour but drivers are asked to avoid the area.
