Tubes of Glue Cause Explosive Scare at Construction Site

LOGAN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A potentially explosive situation was discovered at a construction site in Logan County, West Virginia.

Crews working on the new state facility in downtown Logan thought they found explosives in a dumpster, Monday afternoon.

It turned out to be tubes of glue used in mining operations.

A bomb squad was called in as a precaution.

LOGAN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Blasting materials have been found in a dumpster at a construction site in Logan.

Police tell WSAZ.com the dumpster came from a mine site and it was delivered at the construction site of the new state building in downtown Logan Monday morning.

Police say no one is in danger and the incident is not causing any problems outside of the construction site.

The bomb squad with the West Virginia State Police is on the way to the construction site to safely dispose of the explosive material.
