UPDATE 9/1/12 @ 12:30 a.m.
WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- All lanes of U.S. 52 are back open following an accident involving a coal truck and a car.
911 dispatchers say the accident was reported about 8:30 p.m. Friday, about four miles south of Fort Gay.
Two people were hurt in the accident. No word on their condition.

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crash between a coal truck and a car Friday night on U.S. 52 has closed the roadway in both directions, Wayne County 911 dispatchers tell WSAZ.com.
The accident happened about 8:30 p.m. Friday, about 4 miles south of Fort Gay. Two people are reported to be injured, but the extent of their injuries was unknown.
The highway could be closed for several hours, dispatchers say.
