Route 61 in Kanawha Reopens After House Fire

HANDLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Route 61 in Handley just reopened after a house fire Friday afternoon.

The fire broke out about 1:40 p.m. Friday along Route 61 in Handley.

Dispatchers say flames were shooting out of the home. It appears the home was abandoned.

No one has been hurt.

Route 61 was closed while firefighters were on scene.

HANDLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a house fire in eastern Kanawha County.

The fire broke out about 1:40 p.m. Friday along Route 61 in Handley.

Dispatchers say flames are shooting out of an abandoned home.

No one has been hurt.

Route 61 is closed in the area as crews work to get the fire under control.
