UPDATE: Route 62 Reopens Following Crash

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Route 62 is back open following a crash into a gas meter.

State Police say the road reopened just before noon.

Two cars were involved in the crash. One person from each car was transported to the hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Route 62 is shut down two miles south of Ripley, West Virginia following a crash.

West Virginia State Police say a vehicle hit a gas meter near their Jackson County detachment.

The road is expected to be closed for at least a couple of hours.
