HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from Huntington is in jail, facing several charges following a stand-off with Huntington Police Monday night.
The incident began at a residence in the 400 block of 9th Avenue about 8:45 p.m. Police say they went there concerning a domestic disturbance.
It ended peacefully about 45 minutes later when 43-year-old George Owens was taken into custody.
According to the police report, Owens threatened to kill his wife and father-in-law. They say he also battered his stepson.
Owens was charged with domestic battery and domestic assault. Police say several shotguns were found in the house.
Owens is being held in the Western Regional Jail.
The situation began about 8:45 p.m. Monday -- reportedly from a domestic dispute.
It was not immediately clear what charges the man could face.
No one was hurt.
