UPDATE @ 3:30 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charleston Police are looking at surveillance video right now to get a better description of the man who robbed a bank in Kanawha City.

The robbery was reported just before 10 a.m. Thursday at the Fifth Third Bank in the 55-hundred block of MacCorkle Avenue.

Police say the man was in the bank for a few minutes before he demanded the employees to the floor. The suspect then went behind the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from teller’s drawers, according to police.

The man then ran on foot, traveling west through the alley. The man was wearing a black mask over his face, but police say when he left he took if off and looked back towards the building and a camera caught a picture of his face.

Charleston Police released a sketch of the man's face Thursday afternoon, along with surveillance video of the man inside the store.

The suspect is described as a male, 25-35 years of age, thin build, around 6’01” or 6’02” in height and wearing a couple days growth of facial hair, scruffy beard and mustache, according to the release. The suspect was wearing a grey hoodie with some type of dark design on the front, blue jeans and a black cloth or mask covering his face.

West Virginia State Police brought in its K-9 unit to help search for the robber. The dogs went down an alley behind the bank, then out on 45th Street. The K-9 unit then took investigators out on to Washington Avenue, that is where troopers say the dogs lost the suspect's scent.

If you have any information about the suspect, you're urged to call the Charleston Police Department at 304-348-6480.
