CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- About 400 West Virginia American Water customers in Cabell County, including the Salt Rock area, are under a boil water advisory, according to information released Monday night by WVAW.

It affects customers in the following areas: Bowen Ridge, Green Valley Road, Prices Creek, Pleasant View and Camp Branch Road.

The advisory follows a water main break in Bowen Ridge, which WVAW crews are working to repair as quickly as possible and should have restored by 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Until further notice, any water used for cooking, drinking, oral hygiene, bathing and watering pets should be boiled then allowed to cool to a sufficient temperature before actual use.
