CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Cabell County Schools will be open two days in March and April to make up for days missed due to inclement weather, according to information from the school district.

All Cabell County Schools will open on a regular schedule Friday, March 1, and Friday, April 19. Those days had previously been designated as two of six Outside Environment (OS) days in the school year calendar. The OS days allow school administrators to reschedule school in emergency situations to ensure students receive 180 days of instruction – as required by state law.

Due to wintry weather conditions, students had missed classes on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and Friday, Feb. 1.

There are four remaining OS days in the 2012-2013 calendar. These are May 24, 28, 29 and 30. Unless there are further cancellations, there will not be school on these dates.
