HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Three Huntington attorneys are candidates to replace a retiring Cabell County judge.

The West Virginia Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission recommended the candidates to Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin last week. Tomblin can choose one of them to replace Circuit Court Judge David Pancake, or he can appoint someone else.

Advisory commission chairwoman Debra Scudiere tells The Associated Press that the panel recommended Cabell County prosecutor Chris Chiles and attorneys Cheryl L. Henderson and Paul A. Ryker.

Pancake will retire on Jan. 31, 2014.
