UPDATE: Driver Dies after Crashing into Building; Name Released

UPDATE 11/13/12 @ 9:30 a.m.
WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has died after crashing into a building along U.S. 52 near Kermit.

The crash happened Monday night about 9:30 near the Mingo/Wayne county line.

Trooper A.M. Whittington, with West Virginia State Police, tells WSAZ.com that Dennie Carver, 53, of Alkol, W.Va., hit a guard rail and went through a yard before hitting a building.

Carver was taken to a Williamson hospital, where Trooper Whittington says he died overnight.

No word yet on what caused the crash.

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A person was taken to the hospital Monday night after a car crashed into a small business along U.S. 52 near Kermit, Wayne County 911 dispatchers tell WSAZ.com.

The accident was reported just after 9:30 p.m. Monday. It happened near the Mingo/Wayne county line.

The extent of the person’s injuries was not available.
