MASON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Mason County Prosecutor's Office and Mason Police are alerting people that their credit or debit cards may have been compromised at a restaurant in the county.

In a letter from Mason County Prosecutor R. Craig Tatterson, officials warn that if you used a credit or debit card at the Peking Buffet in the Walmart Plaza in Mason, West Virginia during the beginning to middle of February 2014, your card may be compromised.

People who used a credit/debit card at this location during this time frame are advised to check their statements for suspicious activity. They are further advised to contact their credit card company or bank if suspicious activity is found.

No other information is being released at this time.

An employee who answered the phone at Peking Buffet tells WSAZ.com the manager was not available for comment.
