PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) --Two men from West Virginia face felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say they found cocaine in their truck.
The driver, Mark Trogdon, 52, of Wayne, W.Va., and passenger, Van Lee Smith, 42, of Huntington, W. Va., were arrested and charged with possession and trafficking in cocaine.
Troopers say they stopped Trogdon’s pickup on US 23, in Lucasville for a vehicle defect Friday night.
During a search of the truck, troopers say they two ounces of cocaine was found in a tool box. The Patrol says the cocaine is worth an estimated $4,500.
If convicted, each man could face up to 20 years in prison and up to a $40,000 fine.
The men are in the Scioto County Jail.
