KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman died after investigators say she lost control of her truck.
The crash happened about 1:40 p.m. on Campbell's Creek Drive in Kanawha County.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says Joanna Elam, 50, of Campbell's Creek, went off the roadway to the right and over-corrected, causing her truck to travel off the roadway to the left. They say her truck hit a ditch and flipped.
She was trapped inside the vehicle.
Elam died from her injuries.
The Sheriff's Office says she was not wearing a seatbelt.
Campbell's Creek Drive was shut down for about two hours after the crash, but has reopened.
They have not been able to determine what caused the crash.
The accident happened near the intersection of Campbell's Creek Drive and Clifford Road about 1:45 p.m. Friday.
Investigators tell WSAZ.com the woman went off the road, over corrected and flipped over.
She died on the scene.
Her name has not been released.
