CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Troopers have released the name of the man they say is a person of interest in the death of a Cabell County woman.
West Virginia State Police want to talk to Corey Dante Easterling, of Detroit, in connection with the death of Meagan Cregut Steele.
Cregut Steele, who was in her 20s and from the Huntington area, was found unresponsive at the Days Inn in the 5100-block of U.S. 60 early Wednesday morning.
Troopers say Cregut Steele was taken to a Huntington hospital where she died. According to WVSP, her death was an apparent overdose.
Investigators believe that Easterling was with Cregut Steele when she died.

Troopers tell WSAZ.com they were called to the Days Inn concerning a possible overdose about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. They say the woman was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
State Police say they are looking for a person of interest in the case, but have not released any information on that man.
Investigators have not released the woman’s name or a cause of death at this time.
