Deputies Investigating Robbery at Elkview Convenience Store

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Elkview.

The robbery happened about 5 a.m. at the 7-Eleven store in the 51-hundred block of Elk River Road.

Deputies say a man walked into the store with a garment covering his face, showed a box-cutter and then demanded money.

The man got away with some money.

According to a news release, the man was described as 5'8", 270 pounds and may be 50-70 years old. He was wearing blue pants and a blue hoodie.
