UPDATE: Man Accused of Brutally Beating His Wife Has Been Arrested

CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man accused of brutally beating his wife has been arrested.

Deputies say they arrested Aaron Uhlmann Sunday morning at 9:21. Uhlmann showed up to the Carter County Detention Center and was arrested.

Deputies say he is already being transported back to Lawrence County, Ky.

Deputies have been searching for Ulhmann of Webbville, Ky, since Friday night when he was accused of calling 911 and telling them he had beaten his wife. When law enforcement got to the scene, Ulhmann was gone.

Deputies continue searching for a man accused of brutally beating his wife and then fleeing the scene.

They have learned new information that the suspect, Aaron Uhlmann has stolen a truck. They're looking for a '97 red, Chevy pickup truck with a toolbox in the back and a Kentucky plate with the number 957GDJ.

Uhlmann is believed to be heading toward Carter County, Ky.

Deputies say the victim was flown to a trauma center where she remains in the intensive care unit.

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky (WSAZ) -- Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man accused of tying up his wife and beating her to the point where she suffered head injuries.

Deputies say Aaron Uhlmann of Webbville, Ky is wanted on multiple charges including assault and domestic violence.

It stems from an incident Friday where Uhlmann is accused of calling 911 -- saying he had beaten his wife. When law enforcement arrived, he was nowhere to be found.

Uhlmann is believed to be armed and dangerous. The vehicle he fled in has been located and shotgun shells were found inside. He is also known to possess firearms.

Deputies say the victim was flown to a trauma center where she remains in the intensive care unit..
