BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The Boyd County Sheriff's Department is searching for two men they stole an expensive weapon from a local sporting goods store.
According to Boyd County Sheriff Terry Keelin, back in December two men walked into Border's Sporting Goods and walked out with a $650 Bow Tech Assassin compound bow.
The two men then took off in a mid-90s black two-door Saturn car with Kentucky plates. According to Sheriff Keelin, the plates may have been Kentucky breast cancer plates because they were pink.
One of the men was wearing a large black winter jacket, blue jeans and tennis shoes. He is 6'1"-6'4" and weights approx. 240-280lbs. He is clean shaven and has short light brown or blond hair. The other man was wearing a tan hooded jacket. He is approx. 5'8"-5'10" and 150-160 lbs. He has short brown hair and was clean shaven. Both of the men appear to be in their mid-20s.
According to Sheriff Keelin, investigators believe the man wearing the black jacket also drove a foreign looking compact SUV during a theft back in June from the same store.
Anyone with information about either of the suspects is asked to call the Boyd County Sheriff's Department at 606-739-5135.
