Detectives Search for Woman Wanted in Alleged Sexual Assaults

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The search is on for a mother accused of sexually abusing two teenagers. Detectives with the Cabell County Sheriff's Department say Patrisha Cullum, 30, is on the run after being charged with 20 counts of third-degree sexual assault.

Investigators say the married mother had sex with the same two teenage boys, ages 14 and 15, on multiple occasions during the past four years.

Police say the majority of meetings happened in Marcum Terrace in Huntington. Investigators tell that Cullum would befriend the boys' parents before having sex with them.

"It was more persuading them into it," Detective William Templeton said. "They were willing participants, but under state law they're not mature enough to make that decision."

The boys told police that Cullum would be high on drugs during the sexual encounter. Detectives tell that Cullum's husband has had nothing to do with her after learning of the charges. Cullum has a young son, but has lost custody since this investigation.

Cullum is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs about 130 pounds and has curly hair and green eyes. Police believe she is still in West Virginia, but they say she may have left the state.
