FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Kentucky State Police say troopers were forced to a shoot a man during a domestic disturbance call in Fleming County on Thursday.
The officer involved shooting happened at a residence on Ky. 3301 in the Beechburg.
According to a press release, when troopers arrived at the house they were confronted by James Hay who was armed with a gun. For about an hour, troopers pleaded with Hay to put down his weapon.
KSP says Hay refused to comply and threatened the officers with the firearm at which time they shot and killed him.
The incident remains under investigation.
