HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Thursday is your chance to give back to your community in a big way. WSAZ's annual Donorama is here, and we want to see you there.
Whether it's for a cancer patient or an emergency surgery, hospitals are always in need of blood. So we're setting out to keep that supply up.
Many people rely on blood transfusions. Mitzi White is a cancer patient who never takes blood donors for granted.
"I just want to thank everyone so much. Please continue as long as you can, because you never know when it's going to be you that needs it," White said.
Donoarama begins at noon Thursday in both Huntington and Charleston and runs until 6 p.m. It's at the Red Cross on Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Huntington. In Charleston, it's taking place at the Civic Center.
