CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Seventy-five years of the West Virginia Symphony League Orchestra was celebrated in high-style Thursday night.
The "Applause" Fashion Show had dozens of local models, with hair and make-up done by local artists and fashions from local businesses on display. School children chipped in with some of the work and the so did local eateries.
"We have a lot to celebrate here in the state so we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra and all of the great talented creative people who make it such a wonderful place to live," JoEllen Zacks, one of the chairwomen for the event said.
WSAZ's Cathleen Moxley was one of the models wearing a dress from Geranium's which is located in the Bridge Road Shops.
The fundraiser proceeds will all go to support the W.est Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
