Driver Escapes Submerged Truck after Crash

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A driver had to crawl out of his truck after crashing into a creek in Jackson County.

The accident happened on Gay Road, just off Route 33 near the Elk Fork Dam about 6:40 a.m. Saturday.

Firefighters tell WSAZ.com, the truck was submerged in water and the driver was able to get out in his own. The driver was able to get into another car to stay warm.

It's unclear if he was hurt.

Firefighters say they are not sure what caused the crash.
